Here's a shot of the family product, a Montclairberry-vodka infusion. We also make a rum variety. The backstory on this fabulous stuff, which we freeze and serve slushy, is in a post from long, long ago.

So what's this about kitchens?
The summer of 2004 (and then some) was, for me, consumed by the process of remodeling my kitchen and camping in my own house. This blog started its life trying to answer the question posed in my original subtitle:
Remodeling project stories are always told after the fact as comic horror stories. How would the story go if it were told contemporaneously?
Gradually it morphed into meditation on camping in a construction zone, and it is now an aimless celebration of life after construction.
The previous summer, instead of camping in my house, I went camping and canoeing with my parents in Montana, on the Wild and Scenic section of the Missouri River, of Lewis and Clark fame. Afterward Mom and I visited Glacier National Park.
